What is Vially?
Vially is a local-first health tracking app for adults 18 and older who take medications such as Ozempic, Mounjaro, Wegovy, and Zepbound. It helps you log injections, track weight and body measurements, monitor side effects, and understand your health data without creating an account. Core health records stay on your device; optional transfers are explained before you choose them.
Which GLP-1 medications does Vially support?
Vially supports all major GLP-1 medications including semaglutide (Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus), tirzepatide (Mounjaro, Zepbound), liraglutide (Saxenda, Victoza), and dulaglutide (Trulicity). You can also add custom peptide protocols.
Is my health data private?
Vially stores core health records locally and does not operate a health-record database. Optional remote features disclose what they can send before you use them. In version 1.2.8, AI Lab Scanner and AI Meal Scan send only the report or photo you deliberately submit after the applicable consent. Aurora Coach discloses the categories each kind of send can include; approved send types can be remembered on your device, and you can restore confirmation for every send in Settings. Apple Health exchange stays on-device and Apple Health data is excluded from Aurora Coach. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
Does Vially work with Apple Health?
Yes. Available categories depend on your installed version. With your permission, Vially 1.2.8 can read body mass, BMI, body fat, height, dietary energy, protein, water, steps, active energy, heart rate, sleep, and workouts from Apple Health, and can write supported health, nutrition, activity, sleep, and workout records. This exchange happens on-device, and Apple Health data is never attached to Aurora Coach.
How does the injection reminder system work?
When you set up a medication protocol, Vially creates local notifications to remind you when your next dose is due. Reminders are based on your dosing schedule (weekly, daily, or custom) and are processed entirely on-device — no server needed.
What is the peptide calculator?
The peptide calculator is an arithmetic aid for reconstitution and syringe-unit calculations. Enter the peptide amount, water volume, desired dose, and syringe details to see the corresponding draw volume. It supports mcg and mg units. Always verify inputs and results with a qualified healthcare professional.
Can Vially scan my lab results?
Manual lab entry and trend views are available in the public App Store version. AI Lab Scanner is planned for Vially 1.2.8, currently in TestFlight and not yet public. It protects the selected photo or PDF in an encrypted, device-only draft, then sends the complete report through Vially to paid Google Gemini only after you review the per-report disclosure and tap Accept & Extract. Vially does not retain the report or extraction response; Google may retain paid-service requests and responses for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring. Review every extracted field against the original report before saving.
Can Vially estimate a meal from a photo?
AI Meal Scan is planned for Vially 1.2.8, currently in TestFlight and not yet public. Before the first upload, it asks adults to accept one-time, revocable consent. Taking or selecting a photo never uploads it automatically; a photo is sent through Vially to paid Google Gemini only after you review it and tap Estimate with AI. Vially does not retain the photo or estimate; Google may retain paid-service requests and responses for up to 55 days for abuse monitoring. Every estimate remains editable.
Does Vially require a subscription?
The public App Store version is currently Vially 1.2.5. From version 1.2.8, an active Vially Pro subscription will be required after onboarding. New purchasers will see weekly and yearly plans with no introductory trial at the localized prices shown before purchase. Existing subscribers may retain a legacy monthly plan under its existing terms.
What does Vially Pro include?
Feature access varies by installed version. From Vially 1.2.8, an active Vially Pro subscription provides access to the App's health and tracking features after onboarding. The App shows the current plans, localized prices, and purchase terms before you subscribe.
Can I track multiple medications at once?
Yes. Vially supports multiple concurrent protocols. You can track an injectable GLP-1 alongside oral medications, supplements, or other peptides. Each protocol has its own schedule, dosing, and reminders.
How do I back up my data?
Backup behavior depends on the version you have installed. Vially 1.2.8 removes in-app iCloud Sync and excludes Vially health storage from standard iOS backups, so use Vially's explicit export tools to keep a copy you control. Older Vially iCloud or device-backup copies require manual cleanup in Apple Settings or Files.
Is Vially a medical app?
Vially is a personal health tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment recommendations. Always consult your healthcare provider for decisions about medication or health data.
Does Vially work on Android?
Vially is currently available on iPhone. An Android version is not currently available.
